Lola Aliaga Project Coordinator, MENA

Lola Aliaga

Lola is Project Coordinator for Saferworld's MENA programme. She joined Saferworld as Egypt Project Officer in November 2013 and then worked as MENA Programme Officer for two years. Lola joined Saferworld after graduating from a Masters in Global Politics at LSE, where she wrote her dissertation on gang violence and securitised development.

Prior to her masters, Lola worked in the Policy Section of the European Union Delegation in Lebanon, interned at Peace Direct, and was a Project Coordinator for the French Institute of Central America (IFAC) in Costa Rica. Lola speaks English French and Spanish and is learning Arabic. She holds a BA from UCL in European Social and Political Studies.
