Victoria Brereton Conflict and Security Adviser
Victoria joined Saferworld in July 2012 as a Conflict and Security Adviser and conducts research and analysis on Kenya and South Sudan. She previously worked as a Policy Adviser for the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in South Sudan, focusing on conflict analysis, humanitarian access issues, and engagement with the Government of South Sudan. She has also worked as a Research Analyst for the conflict resolution organisation International Crisis Group, based in their Brussels headquarters, and Policy Adviser for the UK Cabinet Office. Victoria has a Master’s degree in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies and a degree in History from Cambridge University.
