Saba Albess Yemen Project Officer
Saba joined Saferworld in January 2016 as Yemen Project Officer, supporting the programme’s Yemen work from London, including projects on youth, women and community peacebuilding. She also provides administrative support to Saferworld’s international advocacy, communications and networking activities on Yemen.
Prior to joining Saferworld, Saba worked for the British Consulate General in Jerusalem, and for a women’s rights organisation in Ramallah; the Palestinian Working Women’s Society for Development. Saba has a background in advocacy and communications, with a Master’s degree in Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asian Security Studies from the University of St Andrews.
