Ojaswi Shah Gender, Peace and Security Coordinator

Ojaswi Shah

Ojaswi is the Project Coordinator for Saferworld's Nepal Programme. She focuses on the development of security and justice sector programmes and gender and peacebuilding within the Nepal team and has experience in coordinating work on police reform and gender-sensitivity in security agencies in Nepal. She also works on district level conflict assessments and leads on Nepal-based research projects focusing on conflict prevention and gender. Previously as a Policy and Advocacy Officer for Saferworld, she led research on the integration and rehabilitation of Maoist Army combatants and informal justice mechanisms in Nepal; development of awareness-raising and advocacy project to inform gender-sensitive security provisions; and coordinated the advocacy and communications for the Nepal team. Ojaswi has an MA in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies and a BA in Social Work.
