Saferworld authors article on 'fragile states'

Today, Progress magazine published an article on fragile states by Saferworld’s Head of International Advocacy, Claire Hickson.

The article argues for the need for a coherent approach to dealing with fragile states which concentrates on preventing conflict rather than dealing with its consequences. This means ensuring that development and foreign policy, arms export controls and other policies contribute to a ‘whole of government’ approach to conflict prevention.
