Effective and responsive security services such as the police are basic components of democratic government and are especially important in fragile, under-developed or conflict-affected countries. 

What we do

We work to improve safety, security and access to justice in developing countries such as Kenya and countries emerging from conflict such as Kosovo.

We work on:

• Community safety to help communities solve their security problems.
• Community-based policing to promote responsive and accountable policing.
• Security sector reform to encourage joined-up approaches to national development and the delivery of security and justice for the poor and vulnerable.
