Annual review 2010-11

Summary

This annual review shares some of the ways that our work over 2010/11 has had a direct impact on addressing the causes and consequences of violence and insecurity including:

• In the UK successfully advocating for an 'upstream' or preventative approach to dealing with conflict as part of the Strategic Defence and Security Review
• Ensuring donors at the 4th High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness in Busan recognise the voices of conflict-affected people when designing aid programmes
• Establishing new partnerships in Central Asia and China
• Supporting the development of a new national policy on community security in Kosovo
