Lessons on policing: an exchange between Tajikistan and Northern Ireland

As part of police reform efforts in Tajikistan, Saferworld has been working in the country to promote cooperation between the police and communities to identify and address security issues.

In September last year, we organised a study tour for five police officers and five civil society members from Tajikistan to Belfast in Northern Ireland.

The group met with police officers and civil society in Northern Ireland to discuss ways to improve police services, accountability, collaboration, and relations between the police and the public.
