Annual review 2015-16
Violent conflict has continued to wreak havoc across many parts of the world during the last year, with implications that touch every country. Saferworld has responded, with staff, partners and community groups continuing to work intensively towards conflict prevention and peace, and supporting people affected by conflict to build safer lives.
This year's annual review - in print and online - features highlights from our programme and policy work around the world – from our local-level programmes in conflict-affected countries to our international advocacy. Highlights include:
- Improving justice and peace in South Sudan
- Responding to conflict in Yemen
- Gender analysis of conflict in Uganda
- Alternative approaches to counter-terrorism
“Saferworld’s mission is to promote and help to implement a broader perspective towards human security: one that takes people’s experiences of insecurity and injustice as the starting point and builds collaborative efforts to help people live safer, more fulfilling lives.”Saferworld
