Amplifying people’s voices to contribute to peace and resilience in Warrap, South Sudan

In this brief we provide a context update about the current situation in Warrap state, based on the results of a two-day roundtable event held in the states capital, Kuajok.

We present safety and security challenges identified by communities, authorities and civil society which include land disputes, gender-based violence and the proliferation of small arms and light weapons.

We also provide recommendations for how best to address these challenges for all levels of government and communities to consider.
