This briefing paper includes:
- A summary of the state of play with regards to the inclusion of peace in the post-2015 development agenda;
- A recap of the evidence on why peace should be included and explores how it can most effectively be integrated into the new framework;
- An examination of key concerns that have been put forward about the inclusion of peace and responds to the arguments that have been made; and
- A number of principles and practical suggestions for securing an inclusive agreement on a framework that is effective in promoting peace.
