“We have been quiet for so long”: Sudanese women’s coalitions in post-revolution Sudan

For 30 years, the regime in Sudan has oppressed and targeted women with restrictive laws. Women have continued to fight for their rights. Even after the military coup in October 2021, women’s groups, alliances and coalitions are making their voices heard.

In this report, we look at women’s coalitions in post-revolution Sudan. We explore the challenges they face, the opportunities available to them, and how they are able to influence policies and decision-making.
